Join the Center for Death Education for our first free Book of the Month discussion, featuring A Death Doula’s Guide to a Meaningful End by Jane K. Callahan.

Blending personal stories, experiences from end-of-life work, and practical guidance, Callahan explores some of the questions many of us struggle to approach: How can we prepare for death when so much remains beyond our control? What support do dying people and their families need? And how might greater awareness of death help us live more intentionally?

Together, we will discuss the book’s perspectives on grief, patient advocacy, end-of-life planning, community care, and what it means to seek a meaningful end. Readers are invited to share their responses, questions, and insights in an open and welcoming conversation.

We are especially pleased that author and end-of-life doula Jane K. Callahan will join us for the discussion, giving participants an opportunity to hear from her and ask questions about the book and her work.
