1-Part Live Online Class

Grief in Pregnancy Loss: Stillbirth & Infant Loss

Taught by Meghan Jacobson Live Online

Later pregnancy and infant loss can affect individuals and families in profound and deeply personal ways. Although some experiences may share common themes, grief following stillbirth, sudden infant death, or the death of an infant with a life-limiting condition is never the same for everyone.

This 1.5-hour live online class offers a thoughtful and grounded exploration of these losses and the ways they may affect parents, partners, siblings, and extended family members. Participants will consider both shared experiences and the highly individual nature of grief within families.

The class will also explore practical and compassionate ways to support someone who is grieving through:

• Presence
• Thoughtful communication
• Ritual
• Community resources

By the end of the session, participants should have a clearer understanding of the complexities of later pregnancy and infant loss and greater confidence in offering informed, sensitive support to those navigating these experiences.

Open to everyone. No previous knowledge or professional experience is required.

Registration includes a certificate for 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs).

Your registration helps support the Center for Death Education’s nonprofit mission to make accurate, compassionate education about death, dying, grief, and end-of-life care accessible and affordable.
