In this 1.5‑hour class, we will take a thoughtful and grounded look at the many forms of perinatal loss, including miscarriage, stillbirth, infertility, termination for medical reasons, sudden infant death, and the death of infants with life‑limiting conditions. Together, we will examine how these losses affect parents, partners, siblings, and extended family members, noting both common themes and the deeply individualized nature of grief in this population.
We will also explore practical and compassionate ways to support those who are grieving—whether through presence, communication, ritual, or community resources. By the end of the session, participants will have a clearer understanding of the complexities of perinatal loss and greater confidence in offering informed, sensitive support to those navigating these profound experiences.
