Medical Aid in Dying (MAID) raises some of the most personal and complex questions we face at the end of life. This class offers a thoughtful, balanced introduction to why people consider MAID, how different ethical and religious traditions approach it, and why reasonable people often disagree.
Through short real‑world stories and guided discussion, we will explore the major arguments for and against MAID and the values that shape them. The course creates space for curiosity, reflection, and open conversation—without assuming there is one “right” answer.
The class session is 1.5 hours, with time allotted for open discussion.
All class proceeds directly support the Center for Death Education’s mission.
